Fonts Matter to Me

So most people probably just want a nice clean "comicbooky" font when they do comics. OK. I do want nice and clean but... I want a font that seems to suit what is going on. Why? Hell if I know. If I don't make everything ridiculously hard on myself I'm apparently not happy at all. So... These make me happy. Lame....
I've also hurt the hell out of my ankle/foot. WTF. WTF Karma???

BP: I LOVE blambot but some of it really doesn't gel that awesome with my artwork... :( I need to be slicker I guess!

I feel you on that. Sometimes I think a few of the blambot fonts are a little too 'Stan Lee' to feel natural in my stuff.

I've found some good fonts from http://dafont.com

Although if you really plan to use some font from there for something you're going to publish, you need to be careful if they're free for commercial or personal use only.

BP: I feel the exact same! They're very American comics! It's not a bad thing but it doesn't suit my art... I wish I could hand-letter as well as Richard Sala... :(

Verna: dafont is like font crack. And I hear you on the permissions... I had to explain that to my boss I did graphic design for but his feelings were "Why would they care about a local real estate mag?" :T It's called doing the legal thing man...!
