This was the parchment piece I did for my grandma's birthday. Lots of embossing hole punchign and tiny scissor cutting. And man does the cutting leave my fingers a mess!!!

And now my demos for midtone paper.

I wish my students liked it as well as I do... Although I had one student this year who did her final series using midtone paper and did her shoes. It was pretty radical!

(Now back to work on the comic!)

Sorry I've been a mite absent here! It's because if I'm not getting my artistic act together for demos for my class I am working hard on DDCM with all my meager might! Here, just so you can see the ways I torture and torment myself...

I swear I just live to torture myself...

New Project!

So I have been putzing about with some ideas for a webcomic sort of thing for a while. Now - there are some warnings:

1. It's a fairy tale setting. Princes, Knights, magical hoodoo, talking horses, fairies, etc.
2. It's cute boys in love. You're not going to see any hot guy on guy action - sorry! I would not be able to pull that off at all. But I wanted to tell you if you are bothered by boys kissing, hugging, loving other boys this is not for you. Sorry! My other stories may eventually interest you. (Well maybe not Midnight... But Abracadabra for sure has no romance at all!!)
3. It will update when I can... Meaning... When I can get a page done and uploaded. Seriously it takes me some time and the idea of making a set schedule so I can fail at it does not appeal to me at all. So the schedule is: When there's a new page it's there! Sorry... :( Maybe if this makes me a better artist then I can set a schedule.
4. There is no number 4. If I had thought this through in an awesome way there would be no number 1 and I would go to six and say WHO IS NUMBER ONE!!!???
5. Kudos to anyone who understands the meaning of #4.

If you can't tell this fat cupid is made out of paper and assembled by hand by me with little accents added by colored pencil. The eyes and mouth? Cut paper. Yeah you know it. All the letters? Cut paper. The bowstring? REAL STRING. Well thread. Seriously. I question my sanity over making these.
